‘Starving Kids’ - Australian Record Label - Compilation

flinders has been selected for inclusion on a compilation CD to be distributed throughout Australia by the record Label ‘Starving Kids’

‘Boxes Burning’ is once again the flagship for the good ship flinders

Also, the Staveley Records compilation in London is nearing completion and, if you want, you can go to the photos section of the site and have a look at the cover.

Flinders is provisionally listed at track 12 of the compilation.

CD of the Month - Connected Magazine

Flinders has been awarded the grand prize of CD of the Month by Connected Magazine in Dublin.

This comes with a prize of one days free recording in a studio in Temple Bar which is just what the Doctor ordered.

Flinders was the featured artist on the 28th June 2007 on a radio show broadcast in Chicago called Peace and Panpipes, a part of fearlessradio.com.

If you didn’t catch it at the time, it will be available for download as a podcast from Here or Here soon.

The show has a listener base of up to 80,000 per show so many thanks to Jimmy Peace for the opportunity

Columbia/RCA Records feature - “Don’t act like your not impressed…”

The good folks in the A&R Department of Columbia/RCA were in touch to request that flinders answer a few questions relating to the recording process of his E.P for a feature on their website, as well as adding the song ‘Boxes Burning’ as a ‘favourite track’ on the Columbia Demos blog

02 ‘Making Waves’ Podcast

Flinders recorded a Podcast for a website sponsered by O2 yesterday, answering questions about the writing and recording of his new E.P, his musical influences and other general matters of no particular importance. Thanks to ‘Making Waves’ for the opportunity for a little shameless self-promotion.

Flinders is appearing live on Wednesday the 22nd May 2007 at 9.00pm at Sin E, The Quays, Dublin

He has been invited back to play as part of the ontheverge showcase nights and hits the Stage at 10.00pm

Balcony T.V

Flinders has been invited to perform on Balcony T.V, an internet music-television programme recorded on a Balcony in central Dublin.

This performance will be recorded live on the 22nd May 2007 and will appear on the website within a few days

BBC Radio Bristol

Tracks from Flinders new E.P are to receive some airplay on an ‘Uncovered’ radio show on BBC Radio Bristol.

The show features new music from the UK music scene, however having heard Flinders new E.P, the D.Js involved have agreed to feature a few tracks.
